WELCOME

"Working alongside Paul has changed my life significantly by giving me a higher purpose than I ever thought I deserved after years of being in and out of prison. I am able to get better through the constant feedback I get from within our team."

"Being a part of the team has given me the confidence to break a cycle of medication, benefits and group homes. I have my own place paid for with money that I've earned and that motivates me to set bigger goals"

Whether you are ready and willing to put in the hard work needed for full time employment, or just starting out and looking for work experience to build confidence and skills, we want to hear your story.

Consider employing one of our participants longer term. We hope that through meeting and working with them, you will build a long term relationship together.

We maintain our relationship with everyone going through our programmes for as long as it is useful to all those involved. You can, if required, receive mentorship sessions with Paul to help ensure a mutually beneficial relationship with your new employee.

Ways that you can get involved, support the work we do and help someone on their journey forward.

Taster Days and Work Experience

Volunteer

Why not invite participants in our programmes to come and speak to your staff about their experiences and the growth they have undergone as a result? Even if you cannot get involved now, this may lay the ground for someone in the future.

Why not book Paul and one of our team to talk at your corporate event? They are inspiring and entertaining speakers and can deliver talks on diversity and Inclusion, effective goal setting for busy lives and living with our primal brain wiring in the 21st century.

Long Term Employment

The first and most important thing is to get people into the work place to help them gain skills and self confidence. All that we ask is that you be open minded and willing to give someone a chance. It might be a work placement, a work trial, or a mock interview. All can be valuable experiences in someone's journey forward. Our team lead by Paul and our passionate board of trustees would be happy to chat and answer any questions or talk further about matching you up with someone with a desire to work in your field.

Be a Patron

You can make a difference wherever you are and at any time of the day by sharing, liking and engaging with our social media posts. This can be INCREDIBLY POWERFUL in helping us to not only reach people who need our support and those who can help us to support them, BUT it can help spread hope and help to create a fairer, more respectful and compassionate world.

Please take a minute and follow our story

Whatever your skill or passion, we can use it for good. We need people with strong admin and business skills, befrienders/mentors, people with practical skills and everything in between. Positions will require as little as a few regular hours a month and will be both local and remote so that ALL of our friends and followers around the world can get involved. You will find a list of current volunteering opportunities here.

As an angel investor you help us to open bigger projects that can create multiple jobs and opportunities for people to move forward with dignity.

Or by sponsoring an individual through the process of moving into employment you can change the course of someone's life for the better.

We provide sponsorship, workshops, training and access to mental health support, as well as connections into various industries. We also support employers and employees throughout the process, to ensure a productive long-term relationship.

The Foundation offers many different opportunities to learn, such as cooking, bar work, waiting, cleaning, housekeeping, office work or gardening, in fact, we can support people into any industry. What is stopping people from advancing in life? Is it stigma, disability, mental health problems, or being an ex-offender?

The Foundation gives people a chance to work towards achieving and aspiring to fulfil their potential. The Foundation also aims to introduce the idea to business employers of employing people with challenges across Lincolnshire, giving them support and encouragement to take on workers with special needs. This will create diversity within the work force and fairer sharing of opportunities in our community.

The Serendipity Foundation is a Lincolnshire based employment charity which supports people who might otherwise be excluded from or undervalued in the job market into training and work. This can vary from supporting a reformed prisoner to build a positive future, to helping someone with a learning difficulty find their first opportunity.

Our CEO Paul Hugill MBE has over three decades experience of nurturing latent talent and potential and our board has a wealth of skills and experience in varying industries. Everyone's story is unique but they all share the desire and willingness to put in the work needed to achieve a more positive and independent future.
